I call it very savvy campaigning: taking a negative information group and turning their own momentum in the right direction: working FOR the right goal to BENEFIT everyone.

Government is never well run unless it is supported by companies and businesses.

Falun Dafa is a cultivation system in the Buddha School, saving people, that is based on the principles of the Universe:

    真 Truthfulness
    善 Compassion
    忍 Forbearance

It teaches elevation of one’s moral character. Since 1999 it has been brutally persecuted by the CCP in China. Good people are being tortured, raped, killed, force-fed, deprived of sleep and have organs harvested from simply because their spiritual belief. Millions practitioners were killed by the evil CCP.

The extremely fast and severe shifts in markets like we saw in 2008 could not occur in a truly free market. If a financial institution fucks up then they should go bankrupt and the responsible people would be a matter for the judicial system. The effects would be very local and the market as a whole would shrug it off. No accumulation of massive dept would be needed and it would have no effect on inflation.

Regulations is by definition destructive for developing markets.

  11. Merecir

The problem is not markets, the government, the politicians themselves or even the financial system. The problem is the political system that allows politicians to affect the market with regulations. IF the politicians were not allowed to make laws regarding the market then the whole basis for lobbying (corruption) would disappear and no creeping accumulation of power by the powerful could occur.

But you can relax, not even Ron Paul say these things, he apparently like the lobbyist system…

  12. Kenneth Souder

[reply con't...] This is why a certain level of regulation is still required; to soften (though not stabilize like the bailouts tried to accomplish) severe economic shifts. That being said, it is certainly a fine line to walk when trying to determine whether a government is being too overbearing and stagnating the market, or if it is being too loose and ignoring the societal problems that would arise with an unstable and severely shifting economy.

  13. Kenneth Souder

I agree partially with your statement. Yes, the way some world governments reacted to the economic crisis was a little too protective of the status-quo when a changing and flexible economy which is provided by a much more free economy is what we need, but the purely free market that you hint at would not be great at everything. The extremely fast and severe shifts in markets like we saw in 2008 would be destructive to stability of smaller developing and to some extent developed markets.

I’m Swedish so there are only socialist schools around here.

Laws that protect the rights and property of the individual and the tools to enforce those laws are the fundamental functions of the state, and have noting to do with regulating the market. Taxes exist to finance the enforcement of the laws, not to bail out banks or hand out subsidies to those that can afford lobbyists.

Todays financial problems is the death throws of keynesianism, Hayek was right all along.
    Freedom is prosperity.

I would encourage you to go to an economics class at a nearby university. It will tell you that, yes, the free market is great at creating wealth, but without the regulation that government provides (which cost money, so taxes are created), that wealth will be ruined by weak property rights and costly externalities. It’s both the free market’s innovation and the gov’t regulation that creates the most wealth for everyone, not one and not the other by themselves.

Commie scum. Fuck raising taxes, find somewhere else in the budget.

Yes I am familiar with 2 Local Tea Party Groups and have communicated with another one in a nearby city here in Iowa and have realtives active in the Cincinnati Tea Party and You? How familiar personaly are you? Not heard about, read about been told personal experience how many rallies have you been or meetings and how many members have you discussed issues with?

  18. NATANEL13243546

    Genius.

  19. Kittee L.

I think the key phrase was “that I am familiar with”. That doesn’t mean that the Tea Party doesn’t receive outside funds. Assuming that you’re being honest, it could just means that either:

    a. You are not really familiar w/ the Tea Party
    b. The local units you ARE familiar with don’t get funds
    c. You’ve never heard of Ensuring Liberty PAC
