Gorgeous video.
Thank you.

How has this only gotten 13000 something views??? This is so beautiful! Added to my favorites!
Edison? Tesla.
The composition is called “Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis” composed by Ralph Vaughan Williams. It was based off of a melody written by Thomas Tallis, hence the title. It was used in Master and Commander, as was many other famous compositions.
Mr. Walker, please have a plan for a quick removal of these important works. There will come a time when the theifs of History will seek to rewrite their own version and by necessity destroy the truth. It has happened before, as you well know.
To the filmmaker: This is a beautifully made film, but it would be really nice of you to include the title and composer of this piece of music in your description. You are using one of the great compositions by one of the great composers of music, both of which contribute to the depth and artistry of your film and predate your ‘piece’ by many years. (Vaughan Williams 1858-1952; ‘Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis’ written in 1910.)
‘Which piece’ means he’s asking for the title of this musical composition by Vaughan Williams. This composer wrote many pieces. The name of this piece is: ‘Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis’.
Me too. My library would be like this, but with just trains, classic cars, animals, and railroad books, with an ho scale train running too.
Great video…and great choice of music
“Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis” by Vaughn Williams
I wish I had a library like this.
If he ever decides he doesn’t want it anymore and just feels like giving it away, I wouldn’t mind…
sorry! it posted before I saw the title of the piece was already written here.
awesome film!!!!
I do not understand your question.

Which piece?
Which piece?
Uh-maze-ing. I had perma-grin on my face! I was thrilled to see a Schonbek Jubilee as the center chandelier.
This is incredible in so may ways! Thanks for sharing a world of wonders!
It’s the library from the League of Extraodinary Gentlemen!
It reminds me of the Burndy library which existed in Norwalk for many years till the owner passed away. His entire collection was later moved to MIT. It includes the largest collection of DaVinci related works in the world, as well as original editions from all the pioneers of electricity. The only other library of its kind is the Bakken Museum of Electricity in Life in Minneapolis founded by Medtronics.
Yeah… Man, it would be amazing just one day in there…
Yes, it was shot beautifully, an amazing library
I won a stage prize at the TED 2008 Conference. It was an honor and a privilege and I hope that Jay finds a way to digitally preserve this library so he can truly share it with all the world.
