Get a Clue @ Your Library 2007

 The 2007 Summer Library Program at HCPL !  Our Summer Reading party at Sigma Phi Gamma park was a great success!  About 56 children and adults filled the shelter house.  Everyone brought a picnic lunch and were invited to have punch and cookies that the library provided.  Our special guest was Indiana storyteller Valerie Marsh.  She narrated the story of Anansi and used special drawing techniques.  She also told the attentive crowd the story of how the moon and sun got in the sky and how the rattlesnake got it's rattle. We did our YNK prize drawing.  Sebastian Southerland won the MP3 player and Mikey Hammond won the Kings Island ticket.  Chief Matt Felver of the Hartford City Police Department came to do fingerprinting of the children.  He also gave out DNA kits.  Thanks to all the kids who participated and their parents.
