The Friends of the Library support and encourage reading at all levels.  The money we earn from our  book sales  have provided the Children's Department with their reading rug, coat rack and listening center. We also provide support for various children's programs.   

    Ruth Jennerjahn Friends of the Library President states, "The Friends of the Library support Imagination library monetarily and babies receive with their first Imagination Library book,  a copy of a "Readers Digest" article entitled "The Most Important Thing You Can Do For Your Child." Before Imagination Library came to town,  we provided every new Hartford City baby with a first book to go along with the article for mom. Ruth also states " Watch for meeting notices in the paper and just come. We'll put you to work on book sales which are our only fund raising activities."
